Sue Tinkler

Sue Tinkler creates contemporary, colourful glass jewellery and tiny glass vessels, combining traditional and modern kiln techniques. Many of her designs are flower-themed, and alongside her glass she makes textured enamel jewellery inspired by our industrial heritage.

Sue makes her own hot Venetian-style murrine, which she compresses to create blends of colour before giving them a sandblasted finish. She also makes tiny, brightly coloured slumped glass vessels, and copper and silver enamelled jewellery textured using her own lino cuts and found objects.
