Ruta Brown

Ruta Brown is a studio jeweller renowned for her mastery of reticulation, a technique involving the precise application of directional heat to forged and folded precious metals. Working primarily in sterling silver with accents of 18-carat gold, she creates intricate, sculptural jewellery that evokes the textures and forms of weathered fragments - reminiscent of flotsam and marine elements found along the shoreline.

With a BA (Hons) in Fine Art (Sculpture) from West Surrey College of Art and Design and further studies in silversmithing, Ruta has developed a distinctive visual language rooted in the manipulation of metal through heat and hand tools. Each piece is individually fabricated, exploring the structural limits of the material while celebrating its expressive potential.

Ruta’s work has been exhibited extensively across the UK and internationally, including in America, Japan, Egypt, and Switzerland.
