Dawn Gear

Dawn Gear is a contemporary jeweller whose work celebrates individuality, craftsmanship, and the quiet beauty of nature. Working from her home studio in the City of Salisbury, she draws inspiration from her garden and surroundings, creating pieces that are both expressive and wearable. Her jewellery is primarily made from recycled silver, often enhanced with touches of gold and semi-precious stones, and is known for its bold, statement-making designs - especially her signature earrings.

With nearly two decades of experience in silversmithing, Dawn’s practice has evolved to include intricate wirework and silver filigree, techniques that allow her to explore texture, movement, and form. Each piece is unique, reflecting her love of experimentation.

Her current work brings silver filigree to contemporary earring and pendant designs, with influences ranging from nature and Art Nouveau to geometric and abstract shapes. Large pendant earrings and filigree pendants are her favourite pieces to design.
