Carolyn Amos
Carolyn Amos is a Hampshire-based jewellery designer and maker whose work is inspired by early 20th-century design movements, particularly Art Deco, the Bauhaus, and the abstract compositions of Kandinsky. Her jewellery celebrates simplicity of form, vibrant colour, and strong contrasts. Using traditional silversmithing techniques such as texturing, etching, keum boo, and patination, she creates unique, hand-finished pieces that are both contemporary and expressive.
Carolyn’s love of colour is central to her practice. She hand-mixes pigments and resins to produce a rich palette, which she pours into sterling silver forms to create bold, wearable art. Her journey into jewellery began with evening classes at the age of 16 and was reignited later in life through advanced courses with internationally acclaimed makers. Today, she continues to explore new materials and techniques, crafting pieces that reflect both her artistic influences and her passion for design.
