Candy Matterson

Candida is drawn to create playful elements within the pieces she makes. Often this involves movement and tactile, hopefully touchable surfaces. she plays with surface texture and her aim is to sponsor an interaction between the observer and the piece.

Whilst she chooses material firstly to realise an idea she retains a strong affinity to metal and the traditional techniques used to form it.
